Waiting on God – A Key to Personal Revival

But those who wait on the Lord; shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV).

Waiting on the Lord is one of the key ways of knowing the heart and will of God for your life. The Bible talks about how Jesus waited on the Lord in prayer for hours in the early hours of the morning. We see this in Mark 1:35 where it describes how Jesus would wake up before daybreak and go to an isolated place to pray. Jesus developed and maintained very frequent and regular fellowship with God through prayer, devotion and waiting in His presence.

Our Supernatural Weapons

2 Corinthians 10:4

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds” (2 Corinthians 10:4 - NKJV)

Our theme for this month is Supernatural Warfare which is in line with the scriptural reference above.

The Bible says the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God. Whose weapons, you may ask? It is the believer’s weapons of warfare. The believers’ weapons of warfare are not of this world.

The believers who have been saved, blood washed and who do not walk by the dictates of their flesh. They use these weapons and fight a supernatural battle guaranteed of victory.

You and Your Household

Acts 16:29 - 31

The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house.

Most of us know this story in the book of Acts chapter 16, how Paul and Silas were arrested and thrown into Jail. At midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to the Lord and the prisoners were listening to them. The Bible tells us that there was an earthquake and the doors of the prisons were opened. God responded to the prayers and the singing of hymns by Paul and Silas.

Eternity on Your Heart

Ecclesiastes 3:11

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.”

I truly and genuinely do not know where your heart is at the moment. I do not know what your walk is like with God at the moment.

Is ETERNITY uppermost in your heart at the moment?

Jesus the Crucified King the Risen King and the Soon Coming King

In this season we remember the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ and his resurrection. We remember the great and self giving price He paid that we His creation might have eternal life and spend eternity with Him. Matthew Chapters 26–28 give us a full account of this.

Beyond this we want to remind ourselves that Jesus, our Messiah did not just die, He did not just rise from the dead, but He is coming back again. Our King is coming back soon!!!

Revive Us O Lord

“Come, let us return to the Lord. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds. After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us that we may live in his presence. Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” (Hosea 6: 1-3)

Open Your Eyes and See

In Mathew 9:37,
He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few."

Jesus challenge was not the Harvest, but the workers. God does not have a problem with the harvest but the availability of workers. God is looking for labourers; He is looking for workers.
