Here at a Word of Life, we have a God given assignment. A call, together with our Kensington Temple London City Church family. It is to see "London and the World for Christ".
We are a church with a purpose. We are seeking to be a God-centred Church developing people to Christ-like maturity and equipping them for their ministry in the Church and life mission in the world.
We are a church with a vision. We want to impact the whole of the Borough of Lewisham with the gospel of Christ in word and action, and to touch London and the nations of the world.
Our mandate is based on the great commission found in Matthew 28:19-20 "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to do all that I have commanded you ”.
God has a given us a unique strategy to enable us to fulfill His vision and core values upon which we must base all that we do.
The strategy is what we have called, "Discipleship Cell Explosion - Making, Maturing and Mobilising Disciples through the Principle of 12 ”. With this strategy we seek to fulfill our mandate in Matthew 28: 19 -20 by being a Cell Church that works through small groups, called Cell Groups.
Our core values are simple. They are Prayer, Evangelism, Discipleship and Care. These four areas are crucial to help us fulfill God's vision for us as a Church.
Our ultimate aim is to see people won to the Lord, we want to see them consolidated, we want to see them discipled and trained, and we want to see them sent out to go and do like wise.
