God Remembers You

There are times in our lives as believers when we feel isolated, when we feel as though God is so far away and unreachable. We have prayed, we have believed God for everything, we have recounted His promises and declared all the promises in His word but nothing seems to change. We are at our wits end and want to give up.

In Psalm 115:12 “The Lord has been mindful of us; He will bless us;”

The first line of verse 12 says “The Lord has been mindful of us…” To be mindful of someone or something is to pay a special attention to the person or thing. To bear someone in mind, to be attentive to their needs or conditions; to be careful about them, to be ready to respond to their needs, to be observant, and watchful, you care about them so much that they are constantly on your mind.

GOD REMEMBERS

God never forgets anyone nor does He forget His promises. The bible tells us in the book of Isaiah 49:15 “Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely, they may forget,Yet I will not forget you.”

God makes it clear that others may forget you but His compassion will not let Him forget you. His love towards you will not let Him forget you. His covenant of Love towards us will not let Him forget you. Because you are constantly on God’s mind.

WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH IS NOT PECULIAR TO YOU.

What you are going through right now is not alien to God, the scriptures are full of people like you in one way or another who were at their wits end, who thought they were finished and thought God was not looking in on them but the bible says God remembered them and if God remembered them He will remember you also.

Your challenge today might not be money, it could be something else and you have prayed and prayed. Your challenge today might not be getting a job. It might be with your health or it might be with an unruly child and you are struggling with no solution in sight. When Joseph least expected a change, God showed up on the scene for him, because he was always on God’s mind.

NOAH -Genesis 8:1

Through Noah God prophesied about a pending flood. The bible says no one listened. It rained as God had said. The waters prevailed for 150 days every living thing died and only Noah and his family were left in this ark even Noah did not know what was going to happen. Can you imagine being in this ark for 150 days tossed to and fro by the flood. With no clue or hope. Is that how life treating you right now, being tossed here and there?

“Then God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the animals that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided.” The storm stopped.

ABRAHAM AND LOT – Genesis 19:28-29

God told Abraham about His judgement on Sodom and Gomorrah, Abraham began to intercede for that city because of his nephew Lot. Finally, God brought judgement on that city.

The bible tells us in Genesis 19:28-29
“Then he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain; and he saw, and behold, the smoke of the land which went up like the smoke of a furnace. And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when He overthrew the cities in which Lot had dwelt.”

God remembered Abraham’s prayer and his intercession for his nephew. God will remember your prayers, intercession, tears and weeping.

RACHAEL – Genesis 30:22

Rachael and Jacob were in love with each other until Laban decided to be crafty and gave Leah instead to Jacob but Jacob’s love for Rachael was so strong that he decided to work another 7 years for her hand in marriage. The bible tells us that Rachael disliked Leah because she was having children and the Lord had closed Rachael’s womb.

Our circumstance can sometimes cause us to become bitter and angry but when we repent and come to God. He is willing to forgive and give us another chance.
In Genesis 30:22 “Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb. And she conceived and bore a son, and said, “God has taken away my reproach.” So she called his name Joseph, and said, “The Lord shall add to me another son.”

It says God remembered Rachael and listened to her. God heard her prayer. May HE hear today.

HANNAH – 1st Samuel 1:19

God remembered Hannah, He remembered the children of Israel, He remembered Joseph and many more.

THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL

The bible says then there came a king who did not know Joseph and the children of Israel were in slavery. Then the bible tells us in Exodus 2:24 “So God heard their groaning; and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

Exodus 6:5 "Furthermore, I have heard the groaning of the sons of Israel, because the Egyptians are holding them in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant.”

God hears and remembers His promises to you, no matter what you are going through at this point in time God hears and will respond.

Finally, the bible says in Exodus 3:7-8 “And the Lord said: “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites."

God sees, hears and knows what you are going through. Do not give up on God. He remembers you, you are on His mind.
