Devotional 2020 - Week 5

Mark 16: 15 - 20 (NKJV)

“And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” 19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

I don’t know about you but I love to see the power of God displayed in signs, wonders and miracles. It speaks volumes to the sceptic. It proves that God exists, and what He did in Bible days He can still do now, and is still doing now.

Devotional 2020 - Week 4

Jeremiah 17: 7 – 8 (NKJV)

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

Psalm 118: 8 - 9 (NKJV)

“It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in man.
It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in princes.”

My sister you are blessed and will always be blessed when you put all your trust in God the maker of the heavens and the earth, the ruler of the universe!

This new year is the year to trust the Lord with all your heart. Trust Him in every situation and circumstances of life. Let your hope and expectation be in God and don’t let go of that confident hope. This trust and confident hope in God will take away fear and anxiety. It will deal with anxiety attacks, sleepless nights due to worry, decisions made out of fear. When you trust Him till the end, patiently waiting on Him to come through for you, He will not fail you. You will end up being fruitful. You will end up like Job did in the Bible.

Devotional 2020 - Week 3

Proverbs 29: 18 (KJV)

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”

Habakkuk 2: 2 - 3 (NKJV)

Then the Lord answered me and said:

“Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.”

Without a God given vision in 2020 my sisters, we will end up going our own way and doing our thing. This year we need God’s vision for our lives. We need His Word to us. His personal Word to you. So that we can embrace that word / vision and live by it.

Devotional 2020 - Week 1

Ephesians 5: 15 - 17 (NKJV)

See then that you walk [a]circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Psalm 90: 12 (NKJV)

“So teach us to number our days,
That we may gain a heart of wisdom.”

Dear Sister, welcome to 2020. We thank God for a new beginning and a new dawn. We have been given a new opportunity to begin to navigate our lives according to the Word of God.

Devotional 2019 - Week 30

Proverbs 14: 1 (NKJV)

"The wise woman builds her house,
But the foolish pulls it down with her hands."

A wise woman builds her home, a foolish one tears it down. We as women are called to, and empowered to build up lives. We are graced to build up our marriages, families, homes, churches, organisations, communities and nation. God has put in us the ability to build.  We are to enhance, to make better, to make beautiful, to make happen.  We are not to destroy, tear down what we should be building up with our own hands.

What we say and do will determine whether we are wise and building, or foolish and tearing down. My dear sister, build up with your words, with your actions, with your attitudes, with your talents, abilities and spiritual giftings, with your strengths, with your time, with your creativity, with your personality, with your intellect, with your money and with your daily choices. Let’s not be foolish and destroy with these things that are meant to be used to build up.
