Mark 16: 15 - 20 (NKJV)
“And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” 19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.
I don’t know about you but I love to see the power of God displayed in signs, wonders and miracles. It speaks volumes to the sceptic. It proves that God exists, and what He did in Bible days He can still do now, and is still doing now.
Signs and wonders, let’s be real make you and I happy. They make us jump for joy and gladden our hearts. I recently heard the testimony of a couple (Pastors) who after 23 years of marriage were blessed with a wonderful baby, and boy was I filled with exceeding gladness!!!
From our verses of scripture this week we see that God is in the business of doing the supernatural. We see the Lord Jesus commanding His disciples to go and preach the gospel to every creature and the promise that if those they preach to believe; signs and wonders will follow them. So, as believers in Christ Jesus, our lives should be characterised with signs, wonders and miracles just because we believe in Him. Are you experiencing the supernatural which should be yours based on Jesus’ promise?
The disciples immediately responded to the Lord’s command and went out and did what they were commanded to do. Guess what? Immediately they went out to preach, the Lord confirmed their word with signs and wonders following. Miracles began to happen everywhere they went.
May I challenge you that we become like the early disciples. Going after the lost in our family, our work places, our neighbourhoods, amongst our friends etc. Let’s take this mandate serious like they did. God will show forth His faithfulness in our lives with unprecedented miracles, unusual signs and wonders, supernatural happenings that will astonish you and I, as we are faithful to go.
Go after the lost, make it a priority today, and signs, wonders, miracles and the supernatural will become common place in your life.
You are blessed because the miracle working God is your Father! May your mouth be filled with laughter from today onwards as you go in obedience.
