Devotional 2020 - Week 4

Jeremiah 17: 7 – 8 (NKJV)

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

Psalm 118: 8 - 9 (NKJV)

“It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in man.
It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in princes.”

My sister you are blessed and will always be blessed when you put all your trust in God the maker of the heavens and the earth, the ruler of the universe!

This new year is the year to trust the Lord with all your heart. Trust Him in every situation and circumstances of life. Let your hope and expectation be in God and don’t let go of that confident hope. This trust and confident hope in God will take away fear and anxiety. It will deal with anxiety attacks, sleepless nights due to worry, decisions made out of fear. When you trust Him till the end, patiently waiting on Him to come through for you, He will not fail you. You will end up being fruitful. You will end up like Job did in the Bible.

You can not go wrong with trusting God. I assure you. You just can’t go wrong. He may not come through like you will like him to, or at the time you want Him to, but He will surely come through. A brother, or a sister or a friend or family member might let you down or even lack the the capability to meet your expectations but your loving Father will never let you down. In addition, you have the assurance that He has the power to do the impossible and that He loves you and wants to give good gifts to His children, of which you are one if you are a believer in Christ.

It is always wise to trust the Lord. Man’s help is only limited so don’t put the weight of your trust in a man. Man has limited power and abilities but your Father in heaven possesses unlimited power and supernatural abilities. Even those in positions of honour, prestige, knowledge, wealth, authority and power with all they have will fail sometimes but you serve a God that just cannot fail. He cannot and He will not.

My dear sister, Trust and Trust and Trust the Lord. Relax in His loving and everlasting arms.

You are blessed…….
