Devotional 2020 - Week 3

Devotional 2020 - Week 3

Proverbs 29: 18 (KJV)

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”

Habakkuk 2: 2 - 3 (NKJV)

Then the Lord answered me and said:

“Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.”

Without a God given vision in 2020 my sisters, we will end up going our own way and doing our thing. This year we need God’s vision for our lives. We need His Word to us. His personal Word to you. So that we can embrace that word / vision and live by it.

In this first month of 2020, please write the vision down if you haven’t already. Write down God’s vision for your life, home, family, ministry and more. Write it down so you can refer to it, so that you can be reminded of it, and so that you can run with it this new year.

There is something about writing down God’s vision and rhema word for our lives. When you write them down, the first thing this indicates is that you are agreeing with God concerning what He is saying no matter how unbelievable and impossible it seems.

Secondly, when you write down the vision, you have a point of reference that you can always go back to. You can see it and it is a constant reminder of what God is saying to you, calling you to, and what He has in store for you. A reminder of God’s destiny and plans for you.

Thirdly, your vision written down helps keep you focused and on track. It brings you back on cause when distraction comes in. When the shaky times come, you remain standing.

Fourthly, writing the vision down helps you to constantly bring it to the Lord in prayer. Your God given vision written down is a point of reference between you and God in the place of prayer.

Fifthly, a vision written down causes us to rely on God. It causes us to put our trust in Him and have faith in Him. Why? Because we know that in our own strength it cannot happen. It is not by power but by His spirit and his power that the vision can be fulfilled.

So, my sister, have you received God’s vision and word for your life for this year. Have you written it down?  If you haven’t, now is the time to get before God, obtain His plans for your life for this year and write them down.

Once you have done that remember that your God ordained vision is not just to be received and written down, but you are called to run with it. You receive it and write it down to run with it Your part is to run with – you do that through believing what God has said, through prayer, through seeking the guidance and by faith taking small steps daily

The good news in all of this is that God is the one who ultimately fulfils His vision in your life in His on appointed time. No matter how long it takes, no matter the challenges and the struggles, if you will run with that word from God, God will surely bring it to pass. You know why, because the vision came from Him in the first place.

Receive, write, run in 2020 and God will surely make it happen for you.

You are blessed…….
