Psalm 37: 27-29
"Turn from evil and do good; then you will dwell in the land forever. For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed; the offspring of the wicked will perish. The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever.”
We are commanded by God to do good here on earth. If we fail to do good and operate with the right heart, there will be consequences. The Lord loves those who do right and He will never leave or forsake them. There will be times the righteous may feel overlooked, used, weary, unloved but God loves them. He sees all they do and will reward them accordingly whether here on earth or in heaven. We must be willing to walk the walk even when there is no acknowledgement or recognition as we do it unto God and not man.
Those who operate with bad hearts will be dealt with by God; whether it be here on earth or on judgement day. It may seem as though they are living carefree but God is watching. We will each be held accountable for the actions we take and the decisions we make. We will be held accountable for the way in which we make others feel. What we choose to do today will impact greatly on the lives of our future generation. Our decisions are not solely about us and it will do us good to remember this.
Those who walk in righteousness and a willingness to serve God with all their heart will be rewarded accordingly. They will be shown great favour. God is a just God and does not go back on His word like man. What He says He will do, He will do.
