1 Timothy 1: 17 (NKJV)
“Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.”
In Romans 13 verse 7, amongst other things, we are commanded to give honor to whom honor is due. God is due our honor. To honor our God is to reverence His majesty and splendor. It is to respect and esteem Him highly . It is to exalt Him above all.
Our God, the creator of the heavens and the earth and all that is in it, is truly majestic and worthy of honor. Revelations 4: 11 says this concerning Him: “You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory, honor and Power, For you created all things, And by you will they exist and were created”
How can we honor God? How should we honor God?
- Through our praise and worship of Him
- Through our giving
- By honoring Him in, and with our hearts
- Through our obedience to Him
- Through our godly lifestyles or godly living – thoughts, words/speech, actions/deeds, attitudes etc
- With our faith.
Daughters of the King of Kings, you were made to honor your God. Let this be something you intentionally go about each day. He will honor those who honor Him, so let it become your lifestyle. Grace to you…..
