Psalm 41: 1-3 (NKJV)
“Blessed is he who considers the poor;
The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive,
And he will be blessed on the earth;
You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.
The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness;
You will sustain him on his sickbed.”
The poor and the weak are very important to God. The helpless and powerless have a special place in God’s heart so much so that He reserves a number of benefits for those who pay attention to them.
When we pay attention to the poor, He promises us deliverance in time of trouble, protection, preservation, blessing here on earth, deliverance from the plans of the enemy, sustenance when sick and restoration.
Precious sister, how do you treat the poor? How do you view the helpless and the powerless? Do you look down on them or do you see them the same way God sees them? Do you consume all your income on yourself and your family, or do you allocate a portion of it to the needy? The Bible says when we give to the poor we, are lending to the Lord.
Ladies let’s intentionally look out for the poor and be a blessing to them even though it costs us. God’s favor and good hand of blessing awaits us as we do.
