Isaiah 59:1–2 (NKJV)
1 John 1:8-9 (NKJV)
“Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened,
That it cannot save;
Nor His ear heavy,
That it cannot hear.
But your iniquities have separated you from your God;
And your sins have hidden His face from you,
So that He will not hear.”
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Sin separates us from God’s presence because sin displeases him. The Bible tells us that God is of too pure eyes to behold sin. He can’t stand sin. So whether sin is in our thoughts, words, attitudes, motives and actions, God hates it. Sin is not good for you and I. It causes our prayers not be heard. It opens the door for the enemy of our soul to come in and steal, kill and destroy.
So let’s not play with sin, any kind of sin. No sin is bigger than the other, nor smaller than the other. In God’s eyes sin is sin and he calls us to run away from it. The Word of God even tells us to avoid every appearance of evil just so we don’t fall into sin.
The price Christ paid means sin should not have dominion over us except we give opportunity to sin to do so. So ladies, let’s not justify or condone sin in our lives. Let’s not give excuses or get into the error of believing the lie that one “little” sin does not matter. Let’s not believe the lie of the world that says it is not a big deal.
Instead let’s be quick whenever we unfortunately fall into sin, to be quick to confess our sins to God and receive His forgiveness and cleansing. Let’s be quick to humble ourselves and get reconnected with His presence in our lives, and have His heaven open over us.
His grace his available and sufficient for us in this as well, and the Holy Spirit our helper is waiting to help you and I have dominion over sin. So dear sister let’s avail ourselves of this help and grace.
