Esther 2 verses 8–9, 15–17 (NKJV)
Esther 5 verses 1-2 (NKJV)
“So it was, when the king’s command and decree were heard, and when many young women were gathered at Shushan the citadel, under the custody of Hegai, that Esther also was taken to the king’s palace, into the care of Hegai the custodian of the women. Now the young woman pleased him, and she obtained his favor; so he readily gave beauty preparations to her, besides her allowance. Then seven choice maidservants were provided for her from the king’s palace, and he moved her and her maidservants to the best place in the house of the women”.
“Now when the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his daughter, to go in to the king, she requested nothing but what Hegai the king’s eunuch, the custodian of the women, advised. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her. So Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus, into his royal palace, in the tenth month, which is the month of Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign. The king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti”.
“Now it happened on the third day that Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the king’s palace, across from the king’s house, while the king sat on his royal throne in the royal house, facing the entrance of the house. So it was, when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, that she found favor in his sight, and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther went near and touched the top of the sceptre”.
The Book of Esther introduces us to a beautiful young lady named Hadassah / Esther. She was an orphan who lost both her father and mother at a young age. What a blow that must have been to her! That was not the end of her story though, because her Father in heaven had a plan and a purpose for her life. A great destiny, just like He has for you and I today. He put her under the care of a marvellous and godly uncle who took care of her as his own daughter and divinely propelled her to the place of her destiny, as she walked in obedience.
In the verses above that we read, we see how Esther walked in the favour of God and man. She received favour from Hegai, favour from all who saw her, and favour from the king. She had favour - God and man’s good hand upon her everywhere and every time. The favour she received brought unimaginable blessings, glory, recognition, and influence. Her latter end was greater than her former.
Dear sister, God has a great plan for you, your past pain does not have to determine your present. Your present aches do not have to stop you from walking into the great future your heavenly Father has for you. Walk in obedience and submission to Him at all times as He enables you by His grace.
I pray that in this season as Esther enjoyed unlimited favour, so will you in Jesus name Amen. In your journey to fulfil God’s destiny for your life, may you have favour with God, favour with man, favour at home, favour at work, favour in your school, favour in your business, favour in ministry, favour in your career, favour in your relationships, favour in your family, be your portion in Jesus name. I speak UNPRECEDENTED FAVOUR TO YOU TODAY!!!
