Luke 18: 1 (NKJV)
Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
1 Thessalonians 5: 17 (NKJV)
“ Pray without ceasing,”
In these scriptures we see Jesus Our Master teaching us that the wise thing for us to do is to always pray. Then we see the Apostle Paul, Silas and Timothy reiterating this and telling us to pray without ceasing. In other words, don’t ever stop praying, never quit praying. Why did they say this? They said this to say to you and I, prayer to the God of Heaven will bring about a change in your life and mine.
Prayer is communication with God. Speaking and listening to God. Beyond that, prayer is actually a declaration of our total dependence on God. When we pray, we are stating our reliance on God for all things and all situations. Prayer is you and I acknowledging the might, power and supremacy of God. When you pray, most especially when you pray from a place of faith, you are proclaiming that your God is real, alive and well.
Prayer is saying, Lord I need you. Lord I depend on you. Without you I cannot do anything. Prayer is saying I need your help Lord. In my on strength and with my own abilities, I can only achieve so much.
Prayer is your life line and my lifeline. Never grow tired or weary of praying. Never stop praying even in the day of adversity. Instead pray the more. You wear the enemy of your soul out when you pray without giving up. Don’t lose faith in what tremendous power your prayers can make available.
Keep praying sisters and your prayers will avail much for you!
