1 John 4: 9-10 (NIV)
This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
We need to remind ourselves regularly that God's love for us exceeds the love man can offer us. God loved us so much that He sent His son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for us. Jesus was sent to bridge the gap between us and God.
God first loved us, God first sought us. It is a privilege to be known and loved by God. He chose us to be his daughters. We were all created to have a relationship with God but some have chosen other pathways and are yet to find their way back.
We are blessed to be with the father, to commune with the father, to have complete access to the father. We are blessed to know God and we must understand the fullness of His love, grace and mercy. God's love for us is unconditional and therefore not based upon what we do and in some cases, what we do not do. We can take complete comfort in the fact that whilst others may reject or overlook us, God embraces us, God loves us with an everlasting love. We can look to Him to meet our needs and provide comfort when we face challenges or feel down.
Choose to accept God's love.
