Proverbs 31: 10-15(NIV)
"A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants."
The wife of noble character:
A virtuous woman sets a high standard for us as women. She is resourceful, purposeful and walks in love. A virtuous woman serves without grumbling, understanding and embracing her role as a woman. A virtuous woman feels blessed being born a woman and nurturer of the home.
In today's society, some Christian women feel the role of nurturer is demeaning and takes a level of authority from them. They fail to realise that caring for others physically or emotionally does not make one weak, in fact it takes strength. The strength of a woman.
As Christian women, we must be led by who God says we are as opposed to what the world says. There is nothing at all wrong with aiming for success in an organisation or your business but not to the detriment of your family and your home. God has called us to bring love, warmth and hospitality into our home and wherever we go. We should see this as a privilege imparted to us.
