Psalm 23: 1-6 (NIV)
"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
God is with us always, whether we are going through trials and tribulations or when life appears to be plain sailing. Amongst all the busyness and chaos in our lives, God gives us peace and rest. Even when we feel alone, completely misunderstood, overlooked or betrayed we can go and find comfort by sitting at His feet. When trouble knocks at our door we have no need to fear as God is with us. At times we will worry and even question why we are going through challenges. We can find solace in the fact that God loves us and is concerned with all things which concern us. God will continue to pour out His love onto us in abundance. He is our guide, our protector, our source, our counsellor, our father just to name a few.
When you feel defeated or overwhelmed by battles, remember God is with you every step of the way. He sees your tears, your frustration and your weariness. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Choose to spend time in His presence. Choose to be vulnerable before Him, acknowledging you cannot make life's journey without Him.
