Luke 8: 43-48 (NKJV)
“Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped.
And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?”
When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’”
But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.” Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately.
And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”
This account in the Bible gives me great encouragement and hope.
This woman had suffered for so many years. Gone from place to place. Had her hopes dashed time and time again. Spent all her life savings just so she could be healed, just so she could have a normal life. She had tried everything but all to no avail.
Then her due season came, her time came and she “came from behind and touched the border of His garment”. She came to the King of kings and Lord of Lords. The one whose power can never be quantified and with one touch, she received her breakthrough. Jesus did not touch her. She touched Him with her faith and the rest is history.
Dear sister, I want to prophecy and say your time will come. Surely as God lives, your time will come. He will take away your shame and your pain and give you a testimony in Jesus name. Don’t give up like this woman did not give up. She had reason to. She had no more money; she had tried every physician, yet no healing. If it was today, she will have been told to come home and wait to die but she refused to. That is why Jesus said to her “Daughter be of good cheer; your faith has made you well”. Your faith will work for you in your due season in Jesus name. Keep it alive and burning...
