SUPERNATURAL HARVEST

Amos 9:11-13

11 “In that day I shall raise up and restore the fallen [b]tabernacle (booth) of David, and wall up its breaches [in the city walls];

I will also raise up and restore its ruins. And rebuild it as it was in the days of old,

12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom (ancient enemies)

And all the nations that are called by My name,” Says the Lord who does this.

13 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “When the ploughman shall overtake the one who gathers the harvest, And the one who treads the grapes [shall overtake] him who sows the seed [for the harvest continues until planting time]; When the mountains will drip sweet wine

And all the hills shall melt [that is, everything that was once barren will overflow with streams of blessing].

All over the world the Lord is supernaturally touching lives, transforming lives, restoring lives and souls are been won to the Lord as the church returns to the builder of the Church, Jesus Christ.

Over the years many have introduced another Jesus, 2 Corinthians 11:3-4 alludes to this fact that some will preach another Jesus, another doctrine, another gospel which is not biblical.

3 But I am afraid that, even as the serpent beguiled Eve by his cunning, your minds may be corrupted and led away from the simplicity of [your sincere and] pure devotion to Christ. 4 For [you seem willing to allow it] if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted. You tolerate all this beautifully [welcoming the deception].

Yes, we have welcomed the deception and celebrated men instead of Jesus the creator of the universe. The One who promised to build HIS CHURCH. Yet in all of these God has been patient with His Church.

Whilst meditating and speaking to God about 2020, I woke up one morning and as I opened my Bible, I believe the Lord led me to Amos 9: 11- 13. It immediately resonated with my spirit that this was what the Lord is saying to us for 2020.

In the book of Amos 9:11-15, God spoke to the children of Israel through Amos that He was going to restore Israel by raising up the tabernacle of David which has fallen down, and that He will rebuild it as it was in the old days. Before Israel could be restored God had to raise up that which was of pure and sincere worship. That which was birth out of intimacy and was built by a man after God’s own heart. The tabernacle of David which was in disrepair, a tabernacle built with sticks, ropes and clothes. When compared to Solomon’s temple, David’s tabernacle was not a building of splendour. Why will God raise up a tabernacle built with sticks, ropes and cloth, of no importance or significance?  God was looking for intimacy and not beauty, God was looking for something of sincerity. God was going to raise up again this fallen tabernacle before the restoration of Israel to its former glory.

As I meditated on this, I began to realise that God wants to rebuild His Church, He wants His Church back. The Church that Jesus died for and not the Church built by men.

God wants to return His Church back to His glory days, the days of its Power, when the Holy Spirit was allowed to move freely, the days when Jesus was the centre of the Church. God is building His Church by raising up men and women who trust and obey Him. The book of Amos goes on to say, Says the Lord who does this”  It is God who is taking the task of raising and rebuilding His Church.

Because God has taken on this task to restore His Church, we then receive this important promise from God to His Church.

The evidence of the Church returning to the Lord will be the ploughman overtaking the reaper. This means that there would be such an abundant harvest, a supernatural harvest of souls. The Church will be revived and many will come to know the Lord. This will be supernatural because it would not be dependent on man it would be God’s doing. The harvest will not diminish because God will be the one doing it. God will provide in abundance for His people.

What does this mean to the Church of Jesus, it means that the promises of God which never fails will be made manifest. His Church will continue to grow from strength to strength no matter what the enemy throws at Her.

It means that the Church will begin to experience unprecedented revival, unusual miracles, signs and wonders.

Acts 5:14-16 says that more and more believers were added to the Church. This was a supernatural harvest of souls because the Holy Spirit was doing the work as the believers made Jesus the centre of His Church.

14 More and more believers in the Lord, crowds of men and women, were constantly being added to their number, 15 to such an extent that they even carried their sick out into the streets and put them on cots and sleeping pads, so that when Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on one of them [with healing power]. 16 And the people from the towns in the vicinity of Jerusalem were coming together, bringing the sick and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all being healed.

For long the Church had been slandered, maligned, used and abused but the Lord is raising up a people of praise and worship, who will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. A people who will PUSH until the windows of heaven are open to pour out the abundance of rain that will usher in the harvest - the supernatural harvest of souls.

Let us go into the year 2020 with a 2020 spiritual vision because God is about to do something new. He is about to raise the fallen tabernacle of David.

Isaiah 43:19

19 “Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness,

Rivers in the desert.

Have a blessed year.
