The wholeness ministry creates time and space for people to be ministered to, in their inner being, that is to receive healing in the soul and spirit, having an outworking also in their bodies.
God’s desire for us is that we might live in the abundance of life that he has for us. Jesus said I have come that ...... ‘they may have life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].' (John 10:10 Amp). It also says in the bible that we should be kept blameless.... ‘Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through [that is, separate you from profane and vulgar things, make you pure and whole and undamaged—consecrated to Him—set apart for His purpose]; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept complete and [be found] blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.’ (1 Thess 5:23 Amp)
When we come to faith and become born again, there is a radical transformation that takes place within us, a newness of life, however, this is the beginning of our transformation journey. We can still carry emotional wounds suffered from past negative experiences which may be hidden, notwithstanding, can limit us and prevent us from being who God has truly called us to be. In addition, as we live in a world that falls short of God’s original order, we are likely to experience further suffering and wounding in the process of living out our Christian faith.
As a church we have in place discipleship programs such as the encounters for men and women, the Living Free course, which both offer good opportunities to attend to inner issues bringing us to greater levels of freedom and transformation. The Wholeness ministry increases these opportunities by offering more in-depth ministration through different settings.
The wholeness ministry focuses on offering:
- Specific bible teachings in relation to inner healing and wholeness.
- Prayer ministrations.
- One on one support for an extended period in getting through an emotional challenging time.
- Reading materials and a recommended reading list in line with area of need.
- Individual Consultation and sign posting for specific counselling i.e. Christian counselling or secular counselling.
The ministry is structured around holding specific - prayer, healing and deliverance days. A set number of these events are spaced out through the year, taking place on a Saturday.
We also hold prayer ministration healing clinics that you can be referred to by your cell leader as well as self-refer.
As a church, part of our vision is to reach out to the local community, bringing the whole gospel to God’s people through, out-reach activities like the church community hub. Within this setting we also to offer space for emotional support and prayer for those who are struggling with life issues.
